It is distributed in the south-east of Thailand, the south-west
Laos, western Cambodia. It lives in dense tropical
forests at an altitude of up to 1500 meters. Lives in small
family groups. Leads an arboreal lifestyle.
It feeds on tree fruits, young leaves and
shoots, seeds, insects, as well
as bird eggs and chicks. Pregnancy is 7-7.5 months.
1 cub is born.
Males are black, females are light gray. The Tibbon
is the only primate species capable
of making melodious sounds.
