Winged microchip is smallest-ever human-made flying structure

Scientists from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois have invented winged microchips that can fly, track 'airborne diseases' and monitor 'pollution'

Their winged design means they can float through the air like the propeller seeds of a maple tree.

Although they are as small as a grain of sand, they can be packed with ultra-miniaturized technology, including sensors, power sources, antennas for wireless communication, and embedded memory to store data.

Nerds with a god complex at it again. Could these be used as bioweapon carriers? I'd say it's a possibility.
