Stir up the Gift that's in YOU! - Maria Woodworth-Etter (8:45)

(8min 45sec) In this sermonette, Maria Woodworth-Etter encourages you like Paul did Timothy as she address aspects of Holy Spirit power ministry, things to work for and things to avoid, and in classic Mother Etter style she speaks boldly and faithully about the power of God and the importance of signs and wonders.

Maria Woodworth-Etter or "Mother Etter," as John G. Lake and others affectionately called her for her leadership and influence, was a dedicated, sold out, and powerful evangelist in the days before the Pentecostal movement and after. Her meetings were deemed controversial to many because of the mighty ways God moved in healing, giving vision, and people--including her--experiencing holy "trances" being caught into an experience with God while their bodies remained still and unresponsive.

She was a strong and resolute woman who overcame many things that seemed insurmountable--from experiencing much personal loss in her personal life losing 5 of her 6 children to illness, to breaking free of the false traditional ideas that "God doesn't use a woman in the same way He uses men." But God gave her an angelic vision showing her what would be the results of her ministry and she took the vision and ran with it. Her life and legacy remain, giving us a glimpse of what's possible when we lay down our expectations, assumptions, and inhibitions and run the race before us with boldness, holiness, and complete faith in our Father above and His son Jesus Christ.
