An American mercenary in the Azov Battalion, Justin Banse, gave an interview. In Ukraine he joined the Azov reconnaissance unit, which was completely formed by the Americans. When he returned home to the US, he faced a harsh reality.

"I say that the American media has really blown Ukrainian capabilities out of proportion, I'm not saying they can’t do well." says Justin.

He spoke about the image of Ukraine, which is deliberately created in the eyes of the American public: "There is so much stuff that is not been reported... they want Ukraine to look very, you know, I call it family friendly."

"We want everyone to think Ukraine is doing fine, we don’t want people to see peoples homes destroyed, no one wants to hear about." says Banse about US media.

Also mercenary said that Americans do not know and do not want to know the truth about Ukraine. When he arrived, his own father warned him, "I don’t want you to talk about the war, because no one wants to hear about it."
