Days from now, the Canadian men's national soccer team will play in its first FIFA World Cup game since 1986.

The World Cup in Qatar, nevertheless, is being overshadowed by politics because of allegations of corruption, worldwide criticism of its anti-LGBTQ2 laws, and reported mistreatment of migrant workers.
