Who is in subjection to the Higher Powers?

Who must we follow?

Those who do right? Or, those in power?

Who must those in "power" be in subjection to?

Who must we all be in subjection to?

Did Jefferson place Laws of Nature (Creation) and of Nature's God (Revealed Law) in the 1st sentence of US Law for a reason?

Was that reason because "...no human laws should be suffered to contradict these?
