What do you want that you don’t have? If you went to bed tonight and when you woke up the next day, God had changed everything in your life to be exactly what you wanted it to be, what would He have changed and in what way? What is it you want that God hasn’t already given you?

We are driven by our needs/desires. God made us to be empty vessels to be filled to overflowing by His Person, His power and His love. We instinctively choose objects in our environment to which we attach our needs and desires. By believing that the people and situations can meet our deepest needs we turn legitimate blessings into idols, attaching our faith to them instead of God.
