Railroad Strike Closer Than Ever - Largest Railroad Union Rejects Labor Deal

The largest railroad union, SMART-TD rejected the railroad's labor deal Monday the 21st of Nov and is on a path to strike. This makes 4 unions in total that have rejected the deal. The first three can strike on December 4th, but SMART-TD must wait until December 9th. Also, if one union strikes, the other 11 have pledged to honor the strike as well. So if one strikes, they all strike! The two sides will negotiate in between then to see if they can come to an agreement. the unions want a better work/life agreement and not more money, and who can blame them. With being on call 24/7, no days off, punishment if you take sick leave, not seeing your spouse or kids for days on end...this is not about money. Get your supplies NOW.
