Child Aimlessly Walks Off Walkway Into Water

Lori Yerry leapt into action when her son walked right off a walkway that was adjacent to a moss covered pond.

The water by itself did not appear to be any any threat and even appeared to be a grassy area within the Nags Head Wood in North Carolina.

But as two-year-old Brooks was walking down the wooden planks, he veered to the left and tried to step down on what he though was solid land but was in fact a pond.

The boy went into the water and Lori stopped the footage and went to help him, eventually retrieve a soggy boy.

Lori said: "I was shocked, I immediately put my phone down to pull him out of the water."
