The Child Life Program at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock focuses on making the medical setting a place for kids. Child life specialists work with kids and teens to explain what is happening in words that make sense to them. They provide toys so they can play through their care while becoming more comfortable with some of the procedures they will face.
