挙母祭り（ころもまつり）japanese festival

「おぃさー」のかけ声のもと、大量の紙吹雪が舞う中を山車が練り歩く様が圧巻の挙母祭り。
荒々しく躍動的な力強さと、八輌の山車や紙吹雪による華やかさを兼ね備えた、三河地区でも有数のお祭りです。
起源は古く、江戸時代後期から明治初期に今の形になったと言われ、挙母城下の心意気が今に伝えられています。
祭りは2日間にわたり、「試楽祭」と「本楽祭」が行われます。試楽祭では、八輌の見事な山車がそれぞれの町内を曳きまわり、夜は挙母神社において、八つの町の人々が提灯をもって五穀豊穣を祈願して境内を七周する「七度参り」が行われます。2日目の本楽祭で、奉納のために挙母神社に一斉に集まり、花火の号砲を合図に、紙吹雪とともに曳きまわります。
愛知県の有形民俗文化財、豊田市の指定文化財に指定される八輌の山車が、そろって挙母神社に奉納される姿は、まさに壮観な風景です。

It is one of the most prominent festivals in the Mikawa area, combining wild and dynamic power with the splendor of eight floats and confetti.
It has an ancient origin, and is said to have taken on its present form in the late Edo period to the early Meiji period, conveying the spirit of Koromo castle town to the present day.
The festival is held over two days, the Shigakusai and the Honrakusai. At the Shigaku Festival, eight magnificent floats are pulled around each town, and at night, at Koromo Shrine, people from the eight towns hold lanterns and pray for a bountiful harvest, making seven laps around the precincts of the shrine. will be split. On the second day, during the Honrakusai, people gather at Koromo Shrine for the dedication.
The sight of the eight floats, designated as Aichi Prefecture's tangible folk cultural properties and Toyota City's designated cultural properties, all being dedicated to Koromo Shrine is truly a spectacle.
