The notorious Sonderkommando Arajs, was single handedly responsible for the murder of 26,000 Jews (always check official records, not Wikipedia - this is just a quick intro to the Legion.)

No wonder Soviet monuments to the fallen, who fought against fascism, are inconvenient in modern day Latvia.
