Images of Cherubim: Exodus 36

In order for the tabernacle to have images of cherubim on the veil, and also on the mercy seat, someone (probably Moses) would have had to have seen actual cherubim. The appearance of cherubim is not described in scripture, until 900 years after the Exodus, in the book of Ezekiel.
