Stan Kennedy, formerly, my General Manager at the Historic Hilton Fort Worth where I worked as a Journey Ambassador ( Concierge ) for over 15 year is now the Chief Operating Officer for Remington Hotels based in Dallas, Texas. Despite his rise up the chain of command Mr. Kennedy every year has either called or texted me a "Happy Veteran's Day" along with another Remington Star Duane Sherman who now works in Marietta, Georgia !!! It will be five (5) years this coming June 19th since I first started working for Kroger Store # 532 in Keller, Texas and to date, only ONE person by the name of "Austin" ( Dairy Department Clerk ) in our store wished me a Happy Veteran's Day while ALL the other Veterans that I work with received NO recognition of their military service at all !!! One gave their leg, one lost his hearing, I suffered neurological damage, and I'm sure our other Veteran Brothers or
Sisters suffered as well. We Veterans LOVE our country and am glad to have served !!! I LOVE working at Kroger and helping our customers, but, gosh dawn it all, how much effort would it take for just a MERE thank you for your service ???
Kroger executives it's time for you to gather your managers into a huddle and boost morale among your Veteran Troopers who know what "teamwork", "loyalty", and "hard work" is ALL about!!! Remington Hotels sets the standard, now, the ball is in your court!!! Papa Mike Fort Worth can be reached for any suggestions you may need in regards to this topic at grampsfu@yahoo.com.
