Watch Moment Mama Chimpanzee Is Reunited with Baby After 48-Hour Separation

On November 15 at Sedgwick Zoo in Wichita, Kansas, chimpanzee mother Mahale gave birth to baby Kucheza via C-section. Due to complications, baby Kucheza had to remain in the hospital for extra oxygen and medical care. The zoo posted a video showing the moment the two were reunited 48 hours later. While it appears Mahale doesn't see Kucheza at first, after seeing him raise his little arm, she rushes over to cradle him.
