A set of paintings attributed to Adolf Hitler have failed to sell at auction in Germany.
The five watercolors were said to be from the Nazi dictator's early days as a struggling artist.
The highest starting price at Saturday's auction in Nuremberg was 45,000 euros, or 51,000 U.S. dollars.
The auction house did not give a reason as to why the paintings failed to sell, but the high prices and lingering suspicions about their authenticity were thought to have scared off potential buyers.
Nuremberg's mayor had also condemned the sale as being "in bad taste."
