Chinesium lever update/follow up

So the Chinesium levers that I had to modify to work on the KLR650 are still problematic. The brake lever was silently destroying at least o e seal on the master cylinder piston causing premature failure. In this video I am inspecting before disassembly to try to diagnose what might have caused the problem. This bike is just over 4 years old and the fluid is flushed at every brake pad replacement. Current mileage is 43,678 miles.
Moral of the story is don't buy cheap, crappy parts. They always cost more one way or another and you still don't have the better parts.
