Hallway of Doom

Traverse I down a hallway of doom,
My eyes darting for but a speck of light.
Alas! It is not to be found!

Wail I with screams of horror.
My voice raw with rants of agony.
Silence! Where are you?

Gossamer mist swirls ‘bout me.
Cloaked am I with icy fingers of calamity.
Be gone! Release me!

Sentinels of stone stand guard.
Visitor in this night of mystery am I.
Come! Remove my mask!
Struck I the gong to Hell’s door.
It echoes through freedom’s chamber.
Reverberate! Imprisoned am I!

Darkness envelops the light.
Seek I the key while uttering a prayer.
Sealed! My entry is forbade!

Brimstone’s glow is snuffed.
Candle of goodness shines upon me.
Victory! My crypt is blessed!
