Remaining a Perpetual Student of Human Nature, Your Craft, Your SELF, etc.

Often we pretend we understand things that we really don’t understand. Most times this is necessary because each of us doesn’t have the time to investigate everything to the Nth degree. In many cases we are simply forced to trust other people’s opinions about lots of things. Often this necessity of trusting others turns into an arrogant attitude that, “I know everything about this topic.”

Fact: You don’t even know what YOU are! (As a human being)

My recent explorations into songwriting are proving to me once again that every subject you can study and practice is MUCH deeper and MUCH richer than you can even imagine, and you’ll never understand it completely. Ever.

Here’s a more concrete example: You’ve never been to another planet and you’ve never even SEEN another planet up close, yet you would probably bet your life that other planets exist. The point is: There’s no way for you to PROVE, personally, that other planets exist.
