Australian family in dramatic helicopter flood rescue

On Tuesday, an Australian family became trapped in their home, helpless against the oncoming floods that have been the worst in recent memory. They were among thousands of people expected to have their homes and their lives destroyed before the floods finally subside.

In this dramatic footage, the New South Wales couple, their kid, and their two dogs were saved by a Life Flight rescue helicopter and its crew. They were escorted to a local evacuation center once they had been airlifted to safety.

And yes, the doggos were fine.
