The sentencing for Darrell Brooks, the man convicted in the Waukesha Parade attack, began Tuesday until a threat of a mass shooting halted proceedings, the sheriff's department says. About 45 people are delivering verbal victim impact statements in-person to the court on Tuesday and Wednesday. Waukesha County District Attorney Sue Opper said of those people, "approximately" nine are children under the age of 18. The state has provided the court with their names, which remain under seal at this time. Sheriff's officials tell TMJ4 News they don't believe it to be a swatting incident. Court proceedings have since resumed.
