Modern Translations Make a Gross, Misleading Error

Verse 22 in Luke chapter 2 has been mistranslated in many modern Bible translations. The mistranslated verse can lead to gross error and misunderstanding, which would prevent readers from learning that Mary wasn’t born without sin, and like all Jewish mothers, she had to go through a purification process involving sacrifice to atone for her sin.
