Halo Infinite- Side Missions- Forge of Teash, Redoubt of Sundering

Halo Infinite (2021) was developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Game Studios

The Master Chief has seen a lot of action, a lot of different enemies, a lot of different environments, and shot his way out of a lot of problems. Halo Infinite is no different in this regard. If you liked the past Halo campaigns, you will like this one, with one caveat: it's partially open world. I was very curious about this because Halo was always known for it's CoD style, roller coaster ride-like narrative deployment. So, how does Halo perform in the open world?

Very well, actually. There are enough linear missions and maps to drive narrative forward while offering some breaks with the open world layout, which is pretty well done itself. You could save some ever-so-helpless Marines here, assassinate someone there, capture outposts, or destroy a large facility. My only complaint is the lack of variety in the environments, there aren't enough biomes in the open world to keep it looking fresh.

My rating for the campaign is: Good!

Multiplayer is another story. Why can I not play the modes I want to play? In Halo 4 I played Dominion exclusively (With some Grifball every now and then) and I loved it. From time to time I'd do a Big Team Battle deathmatch but now I don't even have that option. If the game wants to make me play Capture the Flag, I either play or quit. Why bother at all? Master Chief collection is right there, saying "You know you want to" and I can't deny.

The gameplay itself in multiplayer is fine. My problem is 343 dictating what modes you play. If this changes, I'll change my rating.

Halo Infinite multiplayer is: Bad.

Halo Infinite is available on Windows (PC), and Xbox.
