Many vegetable oils have gained a reputation for their healthy fats and wellness benefits. One of them is pumpkin seed oil.

Similar to avocado oil, coconut oil or flaxseed oil, pumpkin seed oil is believed to have many health benefits.

One of them is that it can help against hair loss.

In 2014, a significant study on pumpkin seed oil and hair loss was published. It may be the most thorough study to date on a herbal alternative for hair growth.

In the study, men with hair loss took either pumpkin seed supplements or a placebo. The results showed that those who took the supplements grew 30 percent more hair than those who received the placebo.

These results catapulted pumpkin seed oil to the top of the list of natural hair growth promoters.
