China has superficially relaxed some of its draconian public health measures, but Chinese leader Xi Jinping won't stop "zero Covid" unless he gains politically. There are several scenarios in which he will do so. And even if he is forced to end "zero covid, "things may turn ugly for geopolitics and the Taiwan Strait. Mao's 1962 Sino-India war during the Cuban missile crisis was strikingly similar to the world's geopolitical challenges now. This is a condensed version of one of my recent live discussions.
