Explaining Battlepasses To my Non Gamer Wife

Last week we started a new series on my channel where I tell my non gamer wife about gaming and otherwise nerd news and concepts to see what the situations look like from an outsiders perspective. I feel like a lot of video game news especially, and otherwise MoDeRn GaMiNg is a frog in a pot of boiling water. Let's get a fresh perspective out there! Today we're tackling the concept of battlepasses and other monetary schemes that are popular in games like Overwatch 2, Modern Warfare 2, and Fortnite Battle Royale. Most gamers seem to accept the battlepass as just MoDeRn GaMiNg, as almost every game seems to be pushing one on to you now.
