Canada: Federal govt formally bans top echelons of Iranian regime from entering Canada – November 14, 2022

In a virtual news conference, federal ministers Marco Mendicino (public safety) and Sean Fraser (immigration, refugees and citizenship) announce that Canada is officially designating Iran as a regime that engages in gross human rights violations and terrorism. As a result, tens of thousands of senior officials in the regime will be now be rendered permanently inadmissible to Canada.
