European Commission chief calls for closer ties to Central Asia in Kazakhstan visit

President of the European Council, Charles Michel, calls for closer ties with Central Asia on his first official visit to Kazakhstan, the main economic powerhouse in a region where Russia's influence has raised concerns. Speaking at a joint press conference, Michel says "Kazakhstan is a crucial partner for the EU".
