Heidelberg in southwest Germany is known for the Heidelberg University, founded in the 14th century. The city has a nice old town together with a large student population and even a castle.

we start our Wolk on the old bridge and Wolk towardes the old town from there.we see the heidelberger markplatz (old market square)and other squares like the Universitatsplatz with the Mensa.we walk the hauptstrabe eastwards and return to the old town to walk up to the castel.

It es a bit of a steep path up to the castel where we end this walk.it is worth going further up to the schlossgarten where there is a nice view over this town.
