Camera robbery

A photographer from Dallas, who requested anonymity for his safety told me he flew into San Francisco to take engagement photos for a couple the afternoon of November 9th.

A witness from Florida took this video, showing how two masked, armed men approach. In an effort to save his client’s footage, the photographer gets pistol-whipped but successfully wrestles the camera bag from the suspects’ hands.

He described the harrowing experience over the phone and says he’s not sure if it’s an Asian hate thing or just targeting of photographers…but that he’d never shoot in San Francisco again.
