Kherson evacuees celebrate in Odesa after Russia's retreat

People in Odesa celebrated on Saturday (November 12), day after Ukrainian troops arrived in the centre of Kherson, retaking the strategically important southern city.

People cheered and chanted, wrapped in Ukrainian and Kherson flags in front of renowned Odesa Opera House. Among them, a newly-wed couple, a husband being from Odesa and a wife from Kherson. They have decided to get married today after hearing the news of Kherson liberation.
