Jalapeño Cheese Ball | APPETIZER OR CHARCUTERIE BOARD ADDITION

This cheese ball is a family favorite. It is great for holidays and entertaining and it always goes over very well. - Michele

Ingredients:

1 – 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons sour cream
1/2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
2-stalks of green onions, chopped
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
2-4 TB pickled jalapeños, minced

In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Place cheese ball ingredients onto a sheet of plastic wrap and wrap to cover. With your hands, form into a ball and place in the freezer for 1 hour. While your cheese ball is chilling, make coating.

Optional: if you like extra heat, you can add crushed red pepper to the cheeseball and the coating.

Coating:
1/2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
1-stalks of green onions, chopped

Mix together on a large plate. Unwrap chilled cheese ball and roll in coating to completely cover. Cover with plastic wrap and return to the fridge until you are ready to serve.
