India protects its position to buy Russian oil despite US pressure

The US has made a renewed attempt to court India. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen visited New Delhi to strengthen both countries’ economic partnership. But much is being made of the timing, just days after the Indian foreign minister was in Moscow, expanding ties with Russia.
