Water does not thin or weaken (dilutes digestive juices and interferes with digestion). Drinking water before or after a meal assists your body in breaking down and processing digestion).
Water is necessary for good health. Water and other beverages aid in the breakdown of food so that your body can absorb the nutrients. Water also softens stool, which aids in constipation prevention. When possible, drink water instead of sugary drinks.
Looking for other ways to improve digestion? Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Consume a variety of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Low-fat or fat-free milk, yoghurt, dairy products, and lean meats are also options. Maintain a healthy weight. Get some exercise on most days of the week.
