The Real Election Deniers: Big Labor and the Biden NLRB

This is really should be an unbelievable story of union greed and perfidy, but it is all too real and common.

1. Telling employees they get to decide on the contract

2. But then hold a sham “ratification” vote after a secret signing of the contract that the employees are voting on…

3. And, the signed employee-rejected contract locks employees into a three-year contract with forced dues...

4. And, the union that supposedly represents the employees argues with the Biden National Labor Relations Board that the union bosses promises to employees are “irrelevant”

5. And, the contract ratification elections are simply a meaningless “favor” or gesture to the employees and the employees’ wishes have no standing.

6. And, there are also admissions that this happens with other locals in the Steelworkers.

The Kicker is, this shame was created by the NLRB years ago when they created a “contract bar” out of thin air (not contained in the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)).

Bottom line: The Biden NLRB will likely use the contract bar device to deny a decertification election requested by a majority of the employees (i.e. a majority of eligible voters).

Because Pennsylvania is not a Right To Work State, the denial of the election will result in a majority of the employees being forced to pay dues to an unwanted union or be fired. If they remain, it is likely that these employees will be unwillingly forced over the next 3 years to pay dues until they are allowed another opportunity to vote out the union they already reject.

Again, union actions illustrate that unions are not democratic and the NLRB should not create the schemes like contract bars to empower union totalitarianism.

The NLRB should follow the law and stop this contract bar doctrine which has denied elections to American employees for decades.
