Clashes erupt at demo in support of Peru's president

Police fired tear gas to disperse protesters that tried to advance toward Peru's Congress, demanding an end to the resignation requests against the country’s President Pedro Castillo.
The Peruvian attorney general filed a constitutional complaint against Castillo before parliament last October. It is the first time the country's public prosecutor's office has brought charges against a sitting president before parliament.
