Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer Heating Element Replacement and Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer Troubleshooting

Many newer-style dryers from Whirlpool (who also makes them for Maytag, Kenmore, and possibly Amana too) disassemble much differently than their older style console-top dryers. If the unit does not heat, taking them apart isn't too terrible to do, but there are a few things you want to look out for on this style dryer to troubleshoot to see what's going on.

One of the MOST IMPORTANT things you can do when troubleshooting is buying a decent multimeter - even the cheapest one out there will tell you if the part works or not (but a good one makes it more accurate and easier).

For parts on this style dryer, the "Clamshell-Style" heating element is actually, secretly, a Samsung element which may be cheaper. I usually buy these to replace them as they are cheaper: https://amzn.to/3y5RPXA
