Ukrainian troops liberate villages in Kherson region

Ukrainian troops are recapturing villages towards Kherson after the Russian defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, ordered Russian military to retreat from the region. Footage circulating on social media appears to show Ukrainian flags being raised in several villages and towns. Ukraine's army chief, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, said Kyiv could not yet confirm whether Russia was pulling out of the city, but that Ukrainian troops had advanced 4 miles in the past 24 hours, recapturing 12 settlements
