Landslide Destroys Historic Mansion in Ouro Preto, Brazil

A landslide destroyed an 18th century mansion in Ouro Preto, in the central region of Minas Gerais, as well as a warehouse.

Southeastern Brazil has seen weeks of heavy rains, flooding and landslides. Parts of Minas Gerais have measured 40 centimeters (16 inches) of rain in the first 10 days of the year.

Nobody was injured, according to the Municipal Civil Defense.
