Most will not support the strikes

One suspects the workers are being used by these union leaders for personal political gain. However rather foolish as the strikes in the 1970’s had little support with most people and as such most voted conservatives for years. For those pro union never forget that British Leyland was unionised and went belly up and now those cars are being built successfully by other firms. Most people do not support strikes. Those who do tend to be left wing middle class who pretend to be working class, sometimes even wearing a flat cap to fulfil there fantasy. Most people do not support strikes as it affects often there business and they cannot get to work or hospital.
