Justin Fields hype continues as former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator has completely changed his tune about the Bears QB. Martz drew tons of criticism before the 2022 NFL Season for essentially calling Fields a bust, but now admits Fields is “special” and gave Bears head coach Matt Eberflus credit for shifting the Bears offense to play to his strengths. Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy deserves more credit that Eberflus, but regardless, Martz is simply the latest NFL analyst to give Fields some love.

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz talked to an NFL GM who told him that Justin Fields is “unstoppable in the open field.” The league is starting to pay attention to Fields and the Chicago Bears offense that has averaged over 31 points per game over the past 3 weeks. While Justin Fields is shining, rookie WR Velus Jones Jr. is not. Jones was a healthy inactive in Week 9 against the Dolphins and Bears head coach Matt Eberflus didn’t sugarcoat his status with the team. Flus said that playing WR “comes down to being a playmaker” and that his drops and his fumbles on punt returns have been problematic. Is Velus Jones an NFL Draft bust?
