Indra Jatra Festival, dedicated to lord Indra, god of rain has kicked off in the Himalayan Nation with the erection of Ya: Shi, a sacred pole regarded and worshipped as Lord Indraat Basantapur Durbar Sqaure. The 8 days long Indra Jatra formally starts in the Himalayan Nation with the erection of the sacred pole by dozens of devotees, especially the Nepal Army personnel using the rope.
