How To Teach Your Puppy "Whoa!"

Teaching a bird dog puppy whoa? This is how we train the beginning stages of whoa, which is stand still. We start training this early to avoid a puppy from defaulting to the behavior "sit." In this training session our puppy is simply rewarded for standing still, and once he is conditioned to standing we will introduce the cue "whoa."
