Strong swimmer and British boxing champion Cam Shaw (25) drowns while snorkeling in Australia

Cam Shaw died on October 24th, 2022 while snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns.

The boxer was described as "a strong swimmer" by dad Rod, with the family awaiting the outcome of an investigation.

Rod said, "We don't know exactly what has happened, but we know that Cam has drowned and the investigation is still on-going."

Shaw's dad continued: "He was a fit lad. He was a professional boxer and fought four fights. He won them all, but then Covid struck and he had to put it to one side."

A Queensland Police spokesperson says Shaw's death is under investigation, but "it is believed non-suspicious."

Since Australia is (or at least was until recently) very strict in requiring COVID injections ― see the row over Novaxx Djokovic's participation in the Australian Open ― it is likely that Cam was 'up to date' on his COVID injections.

I was aware of Cam's death 2 weeks ago, and decided to wait and see if any more information surfaced, possibly exonerating the jabs. (Also, I hoped a better video would become available.) Unfortunately, I was not able to find any update.

The only alternative explanation offered is the following:

"It is Irukandji jellyfish season in Cairns from Oct to April, they’re almost invisible to the human eye, only 5mm in size, but they’re deadly. Not saying that’s the case with Cam but it has often been the cause of unexplained deaths in Cairns waters."

As far as I know, jellyfish stings leave marks on the skin, which should be easily and immediately recognizable with the naked eye. If these marks on the skin had been present, they would likely have been mentioned in media reports. Conversely, the fact that they are not mentioned, likely means that his death was not related to jellyfish.

I scanned the following article and regard all of the mentioned risks as very unlikely in Cam's case:
