The First and Only Hybrid Ferry in Iceland - The Westman Islands Ferry

This is Iceland's first E-ferry that sailed between the Westman Islands and the new harbour by the south coast that shortened the sailing time from 2.5 hrs to 30 minutes. Tourism has been growing in the islands since the new harbour opened in 2010 but it's still neccesery to use the old harbour in Þorlákshöfn every now and then, and that's when the Diesel engines are used.
