The American Curl at a TICA Cat Show

The American Curl gets its name from its uniquely curled ears. Their ears can curl up to 180 degrees. The curlier, the better, in the cat fancy world. American Curl kittens are born with straight ears, but they begin to curl within a few days.

The breed is known as the “Peter Pan” of cat breeds because they remain very playful throughout their lives.

They come in all colors. They can have long or short hair.

The American Curl was first discovered in California in 1981 when a stray cat named Shulamith was bred because she had uniquely curled ears.

The American curl is a graceful, playful, intelligent, hearty, and beautiful breed of cat.

The International Cat Association judges in this video are Robert Seliskar, Clint Knapp, and Robert Whyte. This cat show was held in Largo, Florida on August 19 and 20, 2017.
