There I was in one of the old slummy flats when this petite calico kitty waltzed up to me. Must have smelled the food.

Stray cats wander the grounds of these low cost housing blocks in Malaysia. Here these cats are king and queen, well fed by the tenants, roaming as they please, sleeping wherever they like.

And yet I yearn to bring them home, give them a real home, a place where they can belong.
