London 5th November 2022: Protests

I was in London for a separate event, but had heard there was a freedom movement protest set for 1(or 2!)pm, and one for 8pm. Kind of confusing. Both were supposed to meet in Parliament Square by Churchill's statue as far as I knew. I showed up there at about 1:30pm to find a handful of freedom movement protestors by the statue, and thousands of protestors from the far left, environmental groups and unions, all of whom seemed to think they were on the "other" side.
It was darkly funny to watch them try to get a rise out of the handful cordoned off by the police by shouting "Tories out" and "Liz is in a box", because they believed their "opponents" must necessarily be monarchy supporting Nazi Tory lovers.
Divide and rule: the oldest trick in the book.
By 8pm pretty much everyone had gone, apart from the police, and those freedom protestors we did meet said things had started at 6pm, and there were only a couple of hundred even then. Quite a contrast to 5th November 2020.
