Election Results: Governor Gavin Newsom wins 2nd term

Governor Gavin Newsom won re-election to serve a 2nd term after surviving a recall last year. His Republican challenger Brian Dahle finished 2nd in the June primaries. Newsom collected 58 percent with Dahle getting 42 percent. With all precincts reporting in Kern County, Dahle with just over 64 percent of the vote. Newsom only garnered about 36 percent of the vote locally.
