Abramtsevo is now open to the public as reserve with a museum. Locals and tourists can explore the park with its wooden bridges and visit many of the buildings to see works produced by the artists at the colony: a wooden bathhouse, the House on Chicken Legs and the main manor. The latter is said to have been the model for the estate in which Anton Chekhov set The Cherry Orchard.
